Okay, I need a little help from my MFPal's, please! I don't think I am eating enough calories or I'm not being very consistent with them. I'm not going crazy high or low, but I think it's effecting my weight lose. Would you guys take a look and tell me what you think? Do I need to do a better job at being more consistent with my calories or do you think it could be something else?

Your sodium seems pretty high...you may need to cut back and go for more "whole" foods...not pre-packaged. Everything else looks pretty good. Try and get in 4 servings of veggies a day. :bigsmile:0

however im not an expert on nutrition only issues i see that may be your problem is too much sodium and too little water.
as BeautifulScars mentioned try more less "processed" foods, and try and get your 8 servings of water
as far as staggering calorie intake thats not a bad thing, as long as you arent going way over or dangerously low.0 -
I'd suggest less processed foods....try and make a sandwich or salad for lunch, instead of getting a box meal, like lean cuisine or something. Add some more fruit and veggies, more water, and concentrate on getting some good protein in. I like greek yogurt or protein shakes.
Whatever you do, you're smart for searching out opportunity to tweak your plan. That is always a good sign. Sometimes it takes a few trys to get it to what works for you.
Keep at it!!0 -
I do agree that I eat processed food more than I should and that is uping my salt intake, but what can I eat then besides salads everyday? I don't have a lot of time or $ to spend on eat "clean" completely. Any suggestions on what you eat for lunch would be great! Oh! And I know I need to drink more water. I do drink alot more during the week than on the weekends when I'm home. I have to work on that too.0

well, my solution to eating less salt is every week on sunday night i make(i say i make really my girlfriend is nice enough to make me lunches) chicken and black beans for the whole week, buy chicken tenderloins whichever are on sale at the local grocery store and the low sodium black beans, i keep them in the fridge in individual containers for the day and take them and microwave them as work.
so i have a low fat, low sodium, high protein meal for lunch, and the black beans are not a fast carb so they are a lil better, well thats what i do anyway its pretty cheap, beans are like 3$ a week and chicken is about 7$ for the week the containers are a one time investment of about 8$ i sprung for the good ziploc brand lol0 -

Hmmm! Not really into beans, but it sounds like a good idea. I had leftover BBQ chicken from Sunday dinner and made myself a sandwich to bring to work tomorrow. Tomorrow is weigh in day so we will see how I do. I really need to figure out how to adjust my food better. Thanks for everyone's help!0
