Well, after 4 months and 34 pounds, I have met my goal! I am now back wearing the same size from back in the highschool days! I feel much better, stronger, and I am now in the best shape of my life at 40 yrs old. My back says thank you too! I now look forward to working out and I pay attention to what I'm eating. I still eat the foods I want to, but just not two plates of it! I also now understand portion control. Well enough rambling, point is, MFP really worked for me!

  • Congrats.

I'm also about to be 40, and am in the same boat as you. I ate fairly healthy, but even healthy if eating 2 or 3 times what I should.........

Good to see success in the same area.

Thanks guys! Now I guess I will have to learn how to "maintain" so I can keep it off. Oh, by the way, it sure does feel good to be able to go out in the yard and run and play with my kids now and not be out of breath and totally give out after five minutes!!

Congratulations but you have not reached the end of your challenges. Now, you need to focus on keeping those 40 fat pounds from creeping back on. Many on here continue to log, daily, all the food, all the fluids and all the exercise. It will help you not end up like I did....gaining & losing then regaining even more~~~over and over, then over again. After 55 years (of my present 73), that idiocy is over and I will also continue to log it all on here as long as this free program exists. Stay heart healthy. You worked very hard to get there. GL :)
