I would think they get smaller, but I think you can also get some from losing weight (too quickly?). Try using aloe vera or vitamin E oil (or Bio Oil), and massaging that into your skin. That's supposed to help, but I never keep it up long enough to notice a change. You're supposed to do it something like 3 times a day for 2-3 months to notice a difference.
I have tons. They can only bother you if you let them. Just ignore them.0 -
They'll get thinner as you do and they'll eventually turn white, like a scar does over time, if they aren't already. I have bunches of them on the undersides of my breasts and on my hips and thighs. Most of them are from my pregnancy 20+ years ago. I rarely even notice them anymore.0

Thanks I mean, my main goal is to wear a bikini (atleast by next summer) and I don't want purple-pink- ugly lines up and down my body. :DD0

i was a BIG man..lol..i have them on my shoulders,arms,legs,back,everywhere..most of them are fairly invisble..some are noticeable...there are options...seek out a dermatologist that has researched this issue,DO YOUR HOMEWORK..a general surgeon can perform cosmetic procedures without any "specialist" degrees...(although most honorable/honest ones wont)
there are laser removal procedures as well as many others as technology changes quickly...
cocoa butter, vit E,and other OTC topical ointments are also available ( i cannot attest to their sucess as i havent used them..)
Good luck and keep us posted:)0 -

my stretch marks are "extensive" to say the least. they are still there, but they are white (my oldest child is 4) but they are still like craters, very textury...
no chance of me ever wearing a bikini again in this lifetime.
after my first child, they were purple and angry, then they went red, then pink, then white after about 3 years I guess. if you only have a few, fine, but i'm covered, my whole stomach right up to the bottom of my ribs, and right down to my c-section scar, and around the sides on the hips.0
