Seeking Nutrition Info for Losing Weight and Training for a

I'm training for a half marathon that will be run on August 21.

My training program is from Runner's World and I've been running, again, for a few weeks and I feel good when I run.

Per the Subject line, my goals are to continue to lose weight and to train for the HM.

I'd appreciate advice about nutrition while I accomplish both goals.

    You can lose weight while training for a half marathon, but keep in mind you can't maximize weight loss and running performance at the same time. Make sure you are eating enough to fuel your run, especially carbs. But still factor in a small to moderate calorie deficit. If you cut calories too much, your running performance will suffer.

    Thanks for the response.

    Your comment about carbs is right on the money — my diet is primarily protein now so I'll have to change my mindset to include more carbs. I've been eating very little for half a year now so it's going to take a conscious effort to add an extra 500 cals/day on training days.
