I've got about 9lb to go till I hit my goal weight. The closer I get the more i'm feeling that the number doesn't really matter anymore. I don't think I will be actually happy, proud and satisified until I make my body 'perfect' and by perfect I mean hard core muscle and very very little body fat. Is pefection actually obtainable?? please share!! TIA

Based on your profile pic you're already pretty close to perfect to me! You look toned.

I was just thinking I would *Kill* for your abs!!!

But that being said, we are our own worst critics!! I think you look amazing!!!!
  • I prefer to break them down into mini targets that lead to that goal to make it obtainable in chunks. But I am definitely on board with the shape over weight thing :)

You're doing great either way! I could use some of your motivation. BB

I'm a pretty picky guy lol...and not one of your MFP friends so I can only see your profile picture...

But I see absolutely nothing to complain about lol. As far as midsections go...that's one IS perfect.

Based on your pic, no the number shouldn't matter anymore. You look very good.

It seems (at least for me) once you get this close, the level of discipline needed to get that "magazine cover" look is just not worth it. I'll settle for mostly being able to see my abs and not obsess over that extra few % of BF needed to get to "perfection"

Nope, perfection is not attainable...but you already knew that. If that's what you're striving for, then you're setting yourself up for disappointment, imo.

However, goals like being healthy, looking good and being strong are attainable and it looks like you're close already. So, I hope that you appreciate what you have achieved, and love and be happy with the results.

ya, i've thought about just setting specific body goals. i'm new at this whole working out stuff so it will be challenging to figure out how to target certain things. i've accomplished abs but my legs are now the issue.

i guess thats where we differ. to me it IS worth the disipline to get that 'magazine body'. How in the world do those girls do it?? are they just born that way? lol
