So, I personally am a vegetarian (pescitarian mainly) , so I would probably stick to veggie dogs...but...

They now have "healthier" alternatives to hot dogs, like fat free, lower cal ones...but... are hot dogs and veggie dogs a no-go for diets? Are they really THAT bad for you? Do they have nitrates? They have a lot of sodium.... but what else? Are veggie dogs and meatless dogs okay?

I've had the veggie dogs and the fat free hot dogs and they are fab if you are craving a hot dog, however they are SODIUM BOMBS... I think like 500mg each. I would say save them for when you are really craving a hot dog and stick to lean fish, eggs and tofu for your protein!!! <3

    agreed
i am a pescatarian as well! and i had a veggie Italian sausage last night, SOOO GOOD! however, like lovesummer said its KILLER in sodium, exactly 500mg actually. so they are definatly good to curb a craving (and the calories aren't to bad either) however, the sodium is a good reason to not make them an every day choice.l
