Body Fat Analyzer Accuracy?

I bought an Omron body fat analyzer, mostly just to keep track of how I am doing with Chalean Extreme. It told me I have either 16.9% BF in normal mode or 17.9% in athlete mode, which I should be using according to my activity level. I am just wondering if anybody has any insight into the accuracy of these things. Like I said, I bought it mainly to see if there is a downward trend in my BFP, but if my percentage is really that low, that is pretty awesome because I figured myself to be more in the 20-25% range

Not trying to burst your bubble, but NONE of the electric BF analyzers are accurate. That are actually quite innacurate. Mine says I am at 29% Body fat, when I am actually at 18.5%0

Accurate or not if it gives you a consistant reading then it will do the job for determining a downward trend in bodyfat. Much the same way scales are... not every scale will weigh you the same but if you use the same one then the difference from day to day means something. Although I don't know how consistant those measure bodyfat...
I was actually wondering the same thing because they have a scale that you stand on and has the handheld portion. Does anyone know if that is better than just the handheld ones? Or pretty much the same0
