Body adjusted to exercise routine?

I've been doing the same exercise dvd (about 1 hour = 30 minutes of cardio, 15 minutes resistance, 15 minutes stretch and yoga) and 30-minute walk routine for a couple of weeks, used to total about ~650 calories a day (about 5-6x a week), but for the last 2 days, my HRM is saying I'm not burning the same amount of calories! I'm only reading at around ~570 calories now! I'm working out with the same intensity. Has my body adapted? Do I need to increase the length of time now?

It's not a bad idea to change up your routine about every 3 weeks. This keeps the muscles guessing.0 -
Yep give your body the 'holy heck what is this we're doing" every few weeks muscle are good with memory so need to change it up0

I'd say yes. Either increase your intensity or do something new or add more time.
The good part of this is that it means your body is changing, getting stronger, fitter. So good for you.0 -
Maybe you could just add some ankle and wrist weightsto your routine. That will make you burn more calories again. I also agree that it is a good idea to mix it up a little if you find you're not losing as much weight. Plus, remember, as you lose weight, you won't burn as many calories as you did when you first began doing the same exercise because it doesn't take your body as much effort to exercise as it did when you weighed more. Good Luck!0
