Well I started today doing this again. I want to lose 50 lbs. I had a miscarriage last night so I'm not exactly in a good mood. I need advice and support on how I can do this healthy but quick. I did do an hour walk & I do plan to work out. Especially with running add walking. Any advice would be great!!

I've miscarried at almost 5 months, so I know how it feels. Its good you are trying to find something to keep your mind from being down. Glad to have you back. Take it easy on yourself though. You're going through a tough time.

So sorry to hear about your sad news. Best of luck on your journey. I am planning to start a couch to 5k program (you can google sample programs!).

I'm so sorry for your loss. Right now I would say take care of yourself and know that the weight loss will happen. Just keep track of your food, try to drink enough water and up your activity level...even small changes make a big difference. Mix up your workouts and give your body rest when it needs it. You have support here! Hang in there.

I agree with everyone else! Take care of you! Logging your food, being aware, and the walks are probably great for you right now! But I would not over do it, you need to be good to you right now! I good massage might be beneficial!!

sorry about your loss....studies show that working out in the AM before eating breakfast helps burn more fat for weight loss b/c your levels of muscle and liver glycogen (also called stored carbohydrates) are normally very low when you wake up first thing in the morning. With depleted glycogen and lower blood sugar, you'll give your body the perfect environment to burn fat instead of carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates or glycogen are your body's primary and preferred source of energy. When they're low, your body will tap into your secondary energy reserve, which is your body fat. The idea here is similar to when the engine taps into the car's reserve tank because it's low on fuel.

Obviously, your body is way more complex than your car's gas tank. It always burns up a combination of carbohydrates and fat. However, the less carbohydrates you have, the more fat your body will burn.

Plus lots of water a plenty o sleep
