I joined the gym yesterday and am looking for an app for my iPhone that will help me with my strength trainng/Weights work outs.
Anyone know of a good app? I want something that will tell me which machines I need to use, how much weight and how many repetitions and where I can log my results each work out. Is there even anything out there like that?

I use Gym Buddy and think it's an excellent program.

Does it tell you the type of weight training you need to do or do you have to already know what to do and just log your progress?

Check out Nike Training Club. It's not exactly what you are looking for but it's a great app for losing, toning, or building muscle.

Nike Training Club is an amazing app specifically designed for women and is almost completely customizable. It has short 15 min workouts, full routines, and specific workouts for different body parts and the exercises are different for all levels of fitness. You can even add your own music. It's free and definately worth the download.

I am developing one for a beginner 5x5 strength program. Probably won't be done till close to the end of the year though.
