p90x and breastfeeding

I've looked up a lot of stuff that says its ok to do the p90x while breastfeeding if you eat more and make sure to feed the baby a couple hours after you work out and not right away cause of the lactic acid build up, but I want to know if anyone out there has done p90x while breast feeding and what you did to keep up your milk supply. Thanks.

Make sure you drink lots of fluids and eat back your exercise calories. I don't know if MFP adjusts for breastfeeding, but if it doesn't I would check with your doctor to see how many more calories a day you need. Then I would watch your baby. If he/she seems fussier or hungry, you may want to cut back on the intensity of your work out. Long term, make sure your baby is growing at a good pace (through your wellness visits.) Exercise and breastfeeding are certainly an ok combination, as long as you do it thoughtfully and really monitor the impact.
Congratulations!!! :drinker: And good luck on your fitness journey! :flowerforyou:0 -
Thanks I have my 6 week postpartum checkup in about a week and a half, so I'll ask him. I won't be able start working out till he gives me the ok then anyway.0
