What a difference a day can make

 What a difference a day can make, I was so happy yesterday and today I am so sad. I was at work a few hours ago and just sitting typing on my computer when the damn chair broke, usually I would have just laughed with everyone but for some reasons I started balling, the office was full of people and it embarrased me so bad. I just ran to the bathroom and still have not stop crying. I know deep down it is because I want to be thin so bad, and that was just another nail in the coffin so to speak. I just want to be thin, and that just proved how fat I really am.......:blushing:
I wanted to grab something anything to eat, but I stopped myself and said this is why you have to stay on your diet..........so I came here to talk to get my mind off food, the one thing I turn to every time I am sad, happy, bored...the thing that has gotten me to where I am now..........................
I am just deeply, deeply hurt and disgusted.

Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry. Use this as insentive to work as hard as you can. You can do this. You just have to hang in there. It does get easier, but you have to get through these rough patches with out turning to food. Look at it this way. The day can't get worse.:huh:0

WOw- I am so sorry to hear that happened to you. Use that feeling to fuel your mission to lose the weight- dont let it put you back in the old way of doing things.
When something happens that confirms all the terrible (and some true) things that I tell myself in my head- like i cant fit into some clothes or when something stressful happens and I want to eat - I am trying to now think...hmmm this is a time when I can change a past behavior and not do what I did before. So the chair breaking was awful but chairs will always break- the fact that you changed what your behavior would have been in the past is FANTASTIC!! Seriously- that is how we change this as a lifestyle- it isnt about the diet!! you just passed a serious test. congrats! :flowerforyou:0 -
stay positive, i know how hard that is, but if you can lose 15 lbs, you can certainly lose the rest :flowerforyou:
i was 218 at my heaviest and was really unhappy, i never wanted to socialise because i would be the biggest person there, keep going with your weight loss and it will get easier
you will slowly get your confidence back, dont worry about other people
feel better soon huni xxx :smooched:0 -
Whatever you do don't allow yourself dwell on how bad you felt at the time, I have learned that we can't change the things that have happened, but we can learn from them and replaying them over and over again in our mind just makes us miserable, and who wants to feel that way when there is nothing you can do to change the past. You know you are on your way to changing what your future is going to be for you, so whenever you start to replay any distressing incident in your mind again, make yourself stop and instead think about where you are going to be in when all this hard work has paid off and you have reached you goal. Train your mind to only think the postive, it will make a huge difference in how you view your past and how you feel about what is coming. Sometimes I still see myself letting my mind go to bad places in the past, but I have learned, it serves me no purpose other than making me feel bad. We have all had enough bad incidents in our lives that was bad enough to have suffered through once, we don't need to replay them.
You know you can do it. and keep us the good work0 -
I understand that, we all are dealing with something...
Thank ya'll fo rall the support!!!!:flowerforyou:0 -
You are doing a great job. keep up the good work and it will come off 1 pound at a time.
IF I worked with you I would have been very worried that you were hurt, not thinking anything about your weight at all.
The chair was broken-not you.
You should make sure to make a report with your boss....you could be hurt and they need to know,.
Honey I hope you have a better day....:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:0
