My identical twin sister recently got diagnosed with Lupus and i know that road ahead is going to be a tough one. Because of many of her symptoms contribute to limited range of motion, lack of energy, lack of strength among other things i am wondering if anyone out there has any tips, suggestions, experiences they can share with me so that i can assist and support my twin sis to get healthy and active again!

My mom had it. The best advice I can give you is to read any and all you can on the disease. Know the things that can happen because most patients ignore things. My mom did that and I even missed some of them. Hair loss is a symptom it's active! Something so simple that people will conjure up other excuses...food/change of diet, stress, age... Know what can happen and that's the best way to arm yourself to be prepared.
My mom also used a high SPF sunscreen because the sun would affect her. Swimming is a good thing...that's pretty much for anyone.

Probably the best thing you can ever do for her...lend your shoulder and ear. Also, she won't admit it if she's like most...just do things for her like cleaning, errands and simple things most take for granted. Fatigue is one of the biggest issues. Not many people understand that one to the fullest extent.

    Good luck!!! :)
