Punk Rock Smoothie

I found this recipe in Punk Rock Domestics (DIY Book), they have a ton of vegetarian and vegan recipes. This is one that I love.

3 Bananas
1 Handful Spinach Leaves
1 Handful Black Kale Leaves
½ Pint Blueberries
5 Strawberries
1 C Water

Blend ingredients together.

2 T Flax Meal
2 T Shelled Hempseeds
2 T Whole Psyllium Husks

Mix ingredients together, add to smoothie.

***The recipe suggests drinking half then putting the rest in a jar and keep in the fridge. The psyllium husks cause the smoothie to slightly thicken (like a pudding) and makes a great snack.
