LOG EVERYTHING!!!!!

oh my wow!!!!!! to all my friends who have been disgussing logging every single thing you eat--here is some motivation. yesterday was an awful eat day. we were out of town on a special family trip. started the day off right with a run and then boiled eggs for breakfast. but it went south fast. normally, I would just not log those calories and go on. BUT...I have made a commitment to log everything...no matter what. so, I did. MERCY!! when, I finished and completed it, it told me that if I ate like that everyday I would weigh 10 pounds heavier in 5 weeks. so, I can eat healthy and lose 10 pounds in 5 weeks, or eat what I want and gain it. I CHOOSE TO LOOSE!!!!!!!!!!

    Yeah that little info after you log your foods is really a great motivator to either behave or get excited. It is definately something that I appreciate that isn't on other sites.

    Yea i had Red Robin burger, fries mozzarella sticks this week. Oh man. I ate way over my entire days worth of calories in one sitting and I hadn't even finished my burger. I didn't want to log it and when I did was so appalled.

    Good motivation to curb my cravings.

    Logging things helps me stay away from the "bad" food. Not always, but definitely has helped at times. I log everything, unless I forget about something & would rather put up healthier foods than the junk.
    Also after eating better for about a year now, I feel like crap after eating mcdonalds or something, that before was a typical meal for me.

    yes, I felt awful after we left Red Lobster yesterday. we live in a small town, so it is a treat to be able to eat somewhere good. but, that treat wasn't worth it. I couldn't even shop at the good stores because I just wanted to go home and go to bed. Never again!

    Logging everything in makes you accountable for your actions. If you're going to over eat, own it and don't feel bad about it...Just make the choice to offset it by being more active! Denial is weight gain's biggest friend!

    So true! O once logged 4500 cals it was easter and i ate everything

    It definately causes a shift in my behavior! I've had a fairly rough week emotionally. Been able to hold on pretty good - a few minor infractions - if I weren't committed to logging everything every meal every day - I would have been feeding my face with McD's or something highly fatening for comfort. So I agree and often use the language of I CHOOSE - it empowers me, instead of my food having the power! Thanks fo the reminder of the importanc of logging - it validates what I am doing. :bigsmile:
