Over sugar - In my protein shake?

So, I'm on the Herbalife program, where I replace breakfast and lunch with a protein shake. I have snacks in between, so it's not like I'm starving.

These shakes contain about 9g of sugar in each. I'm not even sure what kind of sugar it is. Anyway, by the time I get to dinner, where I can eat a full meal, I'm always over my sugar - despite the fact I eat a healthy dinner full of protein and veggies.

I'm not diabetic or anything, but should I worry about the sugar? Check out my diary. :) Thanks so much, you guise.

Also, I thought I should add...

I'm always trying to get more calories in, so that's why I have snacks or something, but then that bothers the rest of my values like protein, blah.

I haven't gained anything from the sugar intake, but I'm just wondering if it's bad for my eating?

I have the same question and am very interested in hearing what others have to say. I add non-fat milk to my protein shake and I just realized that non-fat milk has 12 grams of sugar!!! -- WTH? That's almost half of my daily allowance. I'm over on sugar also and it bugs the heck outta me.

Your diary is set to private. You'll have to change your settings under your food tab at the top. The way I look at it, a lot of things of sugar in it. if you're not over indulging in chocolates and sweets and keeping your fruit intake at bay, then you're okay. I'm usually always over on mine, but I'm not eating anything unhealthy.

    Sorry, I changed that.

Also, for the first girly... skim milk/nonfat milk has natural, unfattening sugar in it. That won't bother you I don't think. I'm mostly concerned with the sugar in my protein shakes. It's confusing :/
