If I am working out twice a day - once in morning doing cardio in gym for about an hour, once in afternoon either spinning in gym or running outside for about an hour (burning between 500 to 1,00 caloires per day), my daily caloric intake on mfp is 1,430 caloires per day - is that too much exercise and how will that impact my weight loss since I am unable to eat 2,500 calories per day! I am usually eating between 1,500 & 2,000 calories per day! Thanks!

Well they say try to eat back your earned cals from exercise. So I think you need to eat more "good" calories. Have you noticed a slowing of your weight loss? My personal trainer at Weigh and Win also told me that working out in spurts helps with metabolism and breaking out of plateaus. So twice a day is good I think.

So mfp is telling you to net 1430 calories per day? If you're burning 1000 calories per day, then yes, you definitely need to up your calorie intake. You should try to keep your net calories as close to mfp as possible. If you only eat 1500 calories and then burn 1000 then your net is only 500...WAY too low! yikes!! Not sure what you're eating, but try to incorporate things like olive oil, peanut butter, etc to increase your calories without having to feel like you're eating a ton.

Let's do the math. 1430-1000=430. That means you are feeding your body only 430 calories a day. That is not good. Your body needs fuel to perform it's various physiological processes (breathing, digesting, heart beating, brain working, kidneys filtering, liver filtering, etc.). Word on the street is the minimum you need to keep these processes running properly is around 1200 calories. Google Basal Metabolic Rate. Google Starvation Mode. Google healthy, high calorie foods you can eat without feeling like you're eating a lot.
