Carnation Instant Breakfast

So, does anyone else have any positive/negative experience with drinking this stuff? I notoriously under-eat and it's been a good chunk of calories in the morning that doesn't upset my stomach while I'm waking up. What I'm worried about is the high sugar content, but then they have a ton of vitamins in them... Just wondering if anyone else has taken to these drinks. Super yummy, so yummy they seem a little too good hehe. Also great with coffee! Seems like a win-win, and I'd never dream of having one before I went to bed.

I used to drink it, and you're right, it DOES taste delicious! But, since I prefer to EAT and CHEW at meal time, these days I usually have a bowl of oatmeal with blueberries instead.0

I have Carnation Instant Breakfast almost everyday for breakfast. If I don't have that I have a small glass of milk with a bowl of Fiber One cereal. But I would say that I only have the cereal one or two times a week. Love the Carnation Breakfast drinks!0

I dont think there is any harm in it. I believe it is better to have your calories in some way in the morning than to not eat at all until noon.
I HATED to eat in the morning. I bought the little yogurt shots,90 calories and 3 oz, it was the only thing I could gag down for a while.
I tried the carnation breakfast but it was too sweet for me, and it made me crave more sweets.
So whatever works for you! :flowerforyou:0 -
What about a meal replacement shake? You could probably find one that was lower in sugar than the instant breakfasts. They used to make a sugar-free one, but I quit drinking it when I started to avoid artificial sweeteners (for me, they cause cravings for real sugar).
Just a thought.:flowerforyou:0 -
Carnation now makes a lower sugar or no sugar added version. The regular has something like 27g of sugar, most of which is just actual table sugar. I think that's excessive.
I make shakes for breakfast with vegetable protein powder, milk, no sugar added nesquick, and maca powder. With yogurt added, it's very creamy! Just don't try to added the yogurt if you don't have some sort of blender hehe0
