I have been walking/running hills for 30-45 mins daily as my exercise. Some weeks I take a day off. I have learned that coming in under my 1200 cal goal may be hurting my weight loss ability as I gained almost a pound yesterday. How many days a week should I be doing cardio to maximize weight loss?

Weight train and cardio 3-5 days a week, whatever works with your schedule best.0

Add weight training; cardio only will cannibalize your muscle. And stop weight yourself daily. You did not gain a lb of fat in one days time unless you had a calorie surplus of 3500 calories or more. Your weight can fluctuate around 5lbs over a day or two based upon water retention, stomach content, bowel content, bladder content, etc… Weight yourself at the exact same time weekly and measure yourself at the exact same time monthly. This will give you the best picture of your progress.0
