I'll be checking in as well. I want one since they are a better price than the BB. My bday is in 8 days and I've asked for one. I hope its worth it! If i get it before you do I'll keep you posted!0

I have one (and love it!). It does not measure your heartbeat. It has motion sensors like the Wii does and measures the intensity of your activity and sleep. These sensors calculate this activity into calories based on your height, weight, age, and gender.
You can start and stop it like a stopwatch to measure workouts. It still calculates everything, you just have an additional separate graph for that particular activity. I use it to compare my run times and intensity. Also tells you how well you're sleeping, restless? sound sleeper? Enough hours per day?
I have a great screenshot of yesterday's info, but photobucket is down, so I can't load it. Will come back, if I remember.
Note: I was able to start losing weight after I got the FitBit for Christmas last year. I had been on a many month's long plateau at that point. I am now down 22 pounds, since Jan 1.0 -
