I can't get over this guilty feeling....HELP!

So I started eating healthy on September 1st and have not broken until today. It was at my sister-in-laws baby shower and I pretty much ate what I wanted. We had finger sandwhichs, meatballs, two types of some sort of cheesy dip, nuts, punch and cake. And I ate it. Now I feel terriable! I don't even know how to log in it in! I couldn't imagine how many calories I consumed.
My husband is trying to soothe me, by telling me one day isn't going to hurt. But for some reason my mind is making me think that I've already gained five pounds from it!
So if you all have been in a similar situation how do you cope? Should I workout vigorously?? Should I eat normally for the rest of the day and log what I eat? I'm so messed up, what would you all do???

do not wait until tomorrow to start another day, start NOW :flowerforyou:
drink lots of water today, at least 2 litres and some exercise would be good too
we all have days where we eat everything in sight, it happens, dont be so hard on yourself :noway:
jump on the wagon right away and you will feel a lot better :smooched:0 -
hi there
i know how you feel
but i think its actualy going to help you.. going over your calories once in a while will help tricking your body ... it will help you keeping on track.. ect..
seriously... you've done so well so far :drinker: you deserved it :bigsmile:0 -
I've been there and done that and that is the way to totally fall off the wagon (the way you are thinking I mean)!!
You got to say to yourself "This is just ONE day!!" it will NOT un-do all the great stuff you've DONE!!
=o)
A cheat day is fun for things like weddings, baby showers, etc! =o)
Just make sure to get right back on track!0 -
Thank you everyone! :flowerforyou:
You know I quit smoking cigarettes, quit drinking soda, and neither in my opinion was as hard as this! And I never broke on either one those since quitting!
But thank you everyone! I'm going to get back on track immediatly and eat what I normally would for dinner. I will also try to up my workout today!0 -

sure it wasnt as hard....you dont HAVE to smoke a cig or drink a soda every 3 hours to live!
You are doing a great job. The one thing that undid me every time I start to make changes is not hitting the reboot button immediately. Ok. had a great day, ate some fun food. enjoyed the friends and family. DONE. NEXT!!
:flowerforyou:
Alt/control/delete reboot!
(and drink that water as it will flush out the sodium, which is IMHO what makes us gain weight overnite from cruddy food!_0
