Cheap fitness!

Hi everyone, i'm trying to develop an all round fitness regime on a tight budget, I get bored of just running every day so here are my ideas:
I'm thinking HIIT (high intensity interval training) by skipping (jumping rope to non UK people) or running 2-3 times a week, kettlebell training 2-3 times a week (alternate days), Squats, crunches, planks, push ups, and all that jazz along with the weights. One day of steady cardio a week, and one rest day a week. Plus yoga when I need a good stretching session.
This is the equipment I have/will get:
Wii Fit yoga
A weighted speed rope (2lb handles)
Kettlebell (12lb), various exercises. (is this a good starting size for a girl? I lifted someone else's the other day and it seemed a good weight)
And I do own a copy of 30 day shred.
Does this sound any good? I know it will take a lot of discipline but my body reacts well to lots of exercise and I know this is what I need to do to get rid of my wobbly bits! And I can do it at home, for free!

sounds like a great start...plus it will be super easy to change up your routine when you hit your 6-week plateau! Good luck!0

Sounds pretty bloody good to me.
The web is full of plenty of body weight routines as well as cheap DIY gym gear. (I have made a suspension trainer, slosh pipe, indian clubs and this weekend am making a plyometric box)
Just keep it varied and use your imagination (but you already seem to be doing that)0 -
Thank you both! I'm determined to make exercise a part of my life from now on, and focus on becoming strong and lean, rather than obsessing about food. I look forward to the day where I can post before and after pics!0

You also might want to check out http://www.exercisetv.tv/
They have tons of exercise videos, many of which are free to download (and others you can buy), in case you feel like mixing things up once in a while. They also have some free workout plans (and others you can buy). I'm in the middle of the 2nd week of their "Lose Weight in 8" series, and I'm really enjoying it. I actually added a bit to it (they have you resting on 2 days a week and doing a light recovery workout one day during the first few weeks, so I do other workouts on the free days and sometimes add a little bit to recovery days).0
