So I am sitting here scratching my head :noway: because after using my hubby's HRM it and calorie estimator it tells me that after a 41min (1.97mile) walk and 24mins of Jillian's 30Day Shred my total calorie burn was ONLY 208!!!!
I know that HRM's usually get programed with your personal info but the only difference between my husband and I is that he's an inch shorter than I am and about 8lbs heavier.

Is it really possible that living at 11,000ft (where you breathe way heavier due to lack of OXYGEN!) and working out for AN HOUR I only burned 208 cals?!?!?!

PLEASE give me your thoughts!!!

Does it have a chest strap? Because if it doesnt, its probably not very accurate :-(

Nope!! There is something wrong with it. My HRM is a Polar and I worked out for one hour doing a 1 mile walk and then lifting and i burned 400calories today. My question is does your HRM have a chest strap? they are much more accurate.

My calories burned on machines do not match up with my HRM but I think the HRM is closer than the machines.

    YES!!! :explode:
That's why I am even more annoyed with it. I had the chest strap on!!!
    I was using a Garmin forerunner 305.
Could it have been the "other sport" setting I changed it to??

I'd double check the settings. There may be a different calculation for males vs females, I don't know for sure but that's something I'm asked when I set up mine.

I would try to verify it with Exercise Calorie Calculators on the web. Most are easy to use as long as you have an AVG HR for the exercise
