Shopping NSV

A couple days ago, I was shopping with my mom. We grabbed a couple things we thought would be cute and some things just to see how they looked (bikinis, different dress cuts, etc.) I am proud to say I was way too small for the larges, I went between a 6 and a 8 and more than anything, I walked out with a gorgeous floral body con dress and a crop top. (And, I looked pretty smokin')

My body is no where near where I want it to be yet, but I finally saw progress in something that wasn't just the scale or pants sizes. I never would have purchased either of those things a couple months ago.

<3 Stay strong everyone. We all count so much more than what the scale says!

  • Go you! I had that experience a month or two ago. Shopping is so much more fun when you're happy with what you look like in the clothes!

Wow, your start weight is where I am at right now and you've already surpassed my goal! Congratulations!

I'm glad to see you meeting success!!
  • Thank you everyone :D

@CommandaPanda My original UGW was 171 then 164 then 152 and now 143 is the lowest I can be healthy at.

I never thought I'd be 171... it goes faster than you'd think!

That is awesome!!! You're start weight is the same as mine also, but like Commanda I'm not where ur at yet. But, I went shopping for clothes the other week and I didn't have to shop in the women's section like I did before...they were all too big! I know you're on cloud 9 right now and you deserve to be!

I'm really impressed. How long did it take you to get to 171? I mean, it'll probably take me much longer since I'm a taller male

    I went from a 14 to a 6.
This comment made my night :)
  • @CommandaPanda (it wont let me quote you!)

Thanks! It took about 5 months. That was the hardest stretch, getting below 200 then 180. But once I got started, it was really hard to stop. Haha.

Also, I was diagnosed with Celiac so being gluten free was really helpful. I don't recommend it for weight loss though. Many whole wheat things are much lower calorie, and my diet is super imbalanced. :/

I am so sure (this may sound cheesy) if you put your mind and will power into your weightloss, it will happen as fast as you want it to. Not just saying "Oh, I wish I looked nice in this" but really pushing yourself so you know you deserve every compliment you get.

Haha no worries. In a fit of rage not wanting people to direct any comments towards me, I hacked into the pentagon and did some work =p

Last week I dropped 6 lbs. By the end of this week I'm hoping to have at least dropped 4 but we'll see. I might be trying too hard. I almost didn't eat anything today but my friend made me eat more because I guess it's better to eat closer to your daily value in order to lose the most weight possible (well.. efficiently.). In doing this I took in SO much sodium.

I can understand what you are going through with Celiac disease. One of my closest friends has had to deal with it for as long as I've known them and it definitely rough.

Since I got on break for the summer I've been trying to get into the gym every morning before work. It's tough because sometimes I wake up late so I go after work and the gym is so packed I can't even bother trying to get a lift in so I just try to compensate for going for really long runs. You're very inspirational!!

    Haha, I guess the pentagon thought it was finally okay (;

Wow! 6 pounds in a week! Get it!! I know you have a goal set for 4 but your body may need to adjust so if it turns out to be 2, just keep on keepin' on and next week you'll get 4 again. I always hear that about your net and such but nothing really goes in my ear haha.

I miss doughnuts and ravioli but not feeling sick all the time is worth it. Also, it is a good reason not to eat alot of unhealthy things.

I congratulate you on getting to the gym! I have an elliptical and a gym memebership and I never seen to do either. Haha. You inspire me (:

Congrats! Enjoy your new clothes! Isn't it fun trying on things that aren't in your comfort zone? I actually tried on and bought a sleeveless dress a couple of weeks ago. Me? In a sleeveless anything?

I was so excited when I got to the outlet mall -- Cool! They have Lane Bryant! Then I'm like -- wait. I can't fit in those clothes anymore! :blushing:

Go you! My new sexy dress is very body concious, simple and tight. It's the dress I am wearing in my new prof pic if you can get a peek of it!

Haha, that is such a weird feeling. I am used to going to back of the rack but new things are fitting all the time!
