My body seems to like being around 150, even though I would like to be closer to 140. I have plateaued here for about 1.5 YEARS! My husband suggested maybe I focus a bit less on cardio and more on strength training. I really liked how my body was transforming when I did ChaLean Extreme, but I don't want to do it again right now (did two rounds). Anyway, do you think I should listen to my husband? If so, how often should I probably weight train? I was thinking of maybe doing 3-4 times per week with other videos I have along with 3-4 days of cardio (some combo days). Thoughts? Thanks!

I love circuit training. It helps me get both cardio and strength training in.

Yes. I agree with your husband :) congrats on your loss so far!

I am a Strength Instructor :) so I would recommend getting an orientation at your gym (if you go to a gym) on the machines and learn basic free weight exercises from youtube or asking a strength trainer at the gym. or getting some 3-5 lb weights and doing Pilates DVDs. this has really toned my arms.

Since you are close your goal weight, you should see good toning results from more strength training. Or just basic push ups, etc.

And I would recommend 2 - 3 times a week to start out with! whatever you feel comfortable with! but remember to rest for days in between strength training because that is when your muscles actually are building and getting more toned. and also, stretch !!!!

I think your current plan sounds great!!!!! those are just some more suggestions for variety! good luck!
BTW, your before and after pictures are amazing!!

    Thank you, everyone!

I don't have a gym membership, but I have a lot of DVDs I do, and I figure I can just do my strength videos, rotating them some to vary the muscles.
