My very first NSV

So I've never really considered anything non weight related to be a victory for me before, but I just had my very first nsv. I had an uber stressful day and really just wanted to go buy a pint of Ben and Jerry's strawberry cheesecake ice cream and eat the entire thing tonight, even though eating an entire container makes me feel horrible. Anyways, as I'm driving to the store I decided that instead of eating 1000 calories worth of Ben and Jerry's I could get some fat free vanilla frozen yogurt with strawberry topping from Sonic and add some vanilla cupcake and xtra chocolately graham goldfish crackers as a substitute. I got the larger size of frozen yogurt and added one serving (half and half) of the goldfish for around 350 calories and I think I even liked the way it tasted better. The yogurt was tangy instead of really sugary sweet and so was the strawberry topping. I know it's still dessert, but this way I managed to stay within my calories and not screw up/give up on my eating for the day. It doesn't really seem big, but this was huge for me and I feel so much better now than if I'd eaten the ice cream!

Awesome!! Ice cream is my weakness so I know how you feel. When you're trying to eat healthy and you love stuff like that, you tend to get creative. Tonight I had some nonfat vanilla Chobani yogurt with some Special Dark Hershey's cocoa powder mixed in. It was pretty good actually. I may stick it in the freezer for 30 minutes or so next time to get it super cold. You should try it!0

That's great! I did something similar today! I really wanted an ice cream cone but I had one yesterday so I went to the frozen yogurt place and normally I sneak one or two "bad" toppings but today I just did strawberries, kiwi, almond slivers and coconut.0

Great job!!!!! I love ice cream too and found a way to cheat (sorta lol)! I bought the little sundae cups (100 calories) and I have quite a few no sugar or low fat toppings. Smuckers have a super blueberry topping that has 90 calories for 2 tbsp. or the carmel has 120 calories for 2 tbsp. I use 1 tbsp and it's serves its purpose0

Yeah, ice cream is my weakness also!! I have a hard time turning it down after a hard day at work. But I don't need that kind of "treat".
Good for you!!!!!!!0
