I think its funny how people who don't live in Vegas absolutely LOVE IT!

I live here and despise it LOL I'm sure if I weren't here every day I'd love it too.

    Have fun!

P.s. I don't mean this post mean/rude in any way.

Wear sensible shoes. Seriously. My husband and I were cracking up at all the women walking barefoot on the strip and holding their stilettos with their hands. Distances between hotels are very long and you do a lot of walking.

My Mom went one year with us, and she got up at crack of dawn on day 2 to go to a drug store to by a heating pad for her back. LOTS of walking and it hurt her!! She brought wrong tennis shoes and just all the walking she said. So agree with this post! lol

We did a lot of walking the first couple times we went to vegas. Then last time we tried the bus on the main strip.
One price for an all day pass....Something to think about.

If your looking for good buffets, hit up the Bellagio for Brunch, and the buffet out at the Rio (can't remember what it's called) for a dinner! The Pub at Monte Carlo has a massive beer selection, but it's in a weird location. Good cheap eats: Baja Fresh at Excalibur, the "street food" at New York New York, and a lot of stuff out on Fremont Street. If your looking for casual, fun dining, ****'s Last Resort, Nine Fine Irishmen, and Margaritaville have pretty good food. If your looking for fine dining, I can't say we ever put the money into eating at those places, so I'm no help there! Have fun!!

I'm getting married this year and spending part of my honeymoon in Vegas!!! Neither of us has ever been. Would love to hear from anyone who has been. Give me some suggestions on must-sees/must-dos. We're staying at Paris.

I live in Vegas so I'll give you my opinion on things.

The themed casino's are my favorite, Paris, Venetian (can be romantic for a honeymoon, New York New York. For your honeymoon I would probably recommend Venetian or Pollazo. They're set in Italy and the waterway runs through a large part of the non gaming area, it feels like you're in Italy.

Other fun, somebody mentioned the Cirque shows and those are all very good, haven't seen them all yet but a few:
    - Zumanity: Very good but bery sexual show. If you're uncomfortable with S&M, Cross Dressers this probably isn't a good show for you.
    - Mystiere: Somewhat comical, very good show.
    - O: Very good, classy
    - Beatles: Don't know, but I've heard it's good
    - Elvis: I'm not an Elvis fan but I've heard it's good if you're into Elvis.

    Sites:
    - Bellagio: Has the Dancing Fountain and the interior is very nice, worth walking through
    - Mirage: Volcano, pretty cool
    - Treasure Island (TI): The Siren show is LAME, basically a cheap strip tease on water... There is a fun country bar inside, the name escapes me at the moment.
    - O'Sheas has Beer Pong! LOL
    - Fashion Show Mall
    - Forum Shops at Caesars

Clubs: My favorites inlude, Tao, Lax, and Studio 54.

Be leery of going downtown (old strip) for the Freemont Experience. First, Freemont street is a toilet, period. Not to mention if you turn the wrong corner you might get mugged. The Freemont Experience is simply the LONG version of American Pie playing over the speakers with the Don McClean video overhead. Grab the song off iTunes and play it for the entire flight down here... you'll be cured of wanting to see that.

I feel like I'm forgetting something... I'll edit if I can think of it.

I went last year for the 1st time. LOVED it!

If you're an outdoorsy person, Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon are pretty cool. We also did the skywalk at the Grand Canyon. It's not as close as other things and is a big tourist trap, but it was still really amazing. We rented a car rather than a bus tour from the hotel. That way we could take our time.

The volcano outside the Mirage at night is really neat. We started out at the Bellaggio and watched the fountains, then went & watched the volcano at Mirage then the pirate show at Treasure Island. Best part -- all of them are FREE. You just have to push your way to a good spot.

If you like comedy, Frank Caliendo was very funny. I'm not into raunchy humor and was able to sit next to my 14 year old son without cringing at all. No potty talk from him.

Blue Man Group was incredible as well. You can check for discount tickets.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding and have a blast! :flowerforyou:

Edit: Have to agree with others, Hoover Dam is worth the trip.

good post, you reminded me of something too...

    - Blue Man Group is very very cool.
    - Phantom of the Opera is playing at Venetian (or maybe Polazzo)
