considering 9 weeks of "boot camp"

I own a small town gym. I'm a trainer. I teach Pilates, Zumba and other classes. Been doing my strength program, and I'm training for a 1/2 marathon in October.
But I have a new trainer at my gym. She is an army master trainer, and I love taking her kettlebell classes. We are having a boot camp from July6-August 31. I want to do it, and I know I would have to make adjustments on my own training schedule, so I don't overdo everything,
Should I do it? Should I take that plunge? Or should I just focus on what I'm doing.....oh yeah, and hiking season has started too. That's my real love! But I think this Boot Camp could be a good experience. It's 1 hour twice a week. What do you think?

I just added boot camp to my schedule. I go once a week for an hour, and absolutely LOVE it. I find that I really enjoy the group and partner aspect, and that the workouts are a lot different for me. We meet at a park and do lots of different things - runs, sprints, hills, we played soccer last night for part of it, strentgh training, etc...
p.s. I burned 713 calories in an hour last night.0 -
How did you measure your calorie burn? A Garmin?0

I just did a "boot camp" workout for the first time last night. I really enjoyed it. The instructor was in the military for 20 years and so the gym is about as masculine as you can imagine. Ironically, most of his clientele are women! We did crunches, pushups and boxing. I'm sore in place I didn't know i had, so apparently it did things my same old treadmill-weight machine routine doesn't.0

I have a Suunto T3d heart rate monitor. I wear it for all of my workouts.0
