ladies MID cycle weight GAIN

Has anyone ever charted their weight corresponding with different times of their cycle? I was reading about this on another site and many women have noticed that they have two dips (decrease in weight) a month and usually two weight GAINS per month. one being mid cycle when you ovulate and of course the other when TOM arrives. this would explain my weight gain at this time BUT im curious as to what others know. OH and I read that we have a higher metabolism during TOM but since we usually crave way more food and/or sweets that we blow that whole idea out of the water just a little fun fact.

I haven't but I'd be interested to track mine. I fluctuate by 1-2 pounds sometimes in just the span of a day!! Super frustrating :explode: So when u ovulate...thats when u see an increase or a decrease??0

I always notice i gain right before my period arrives and then loose a couple days after it's gone.0

yes. apaprently you gain weight at mid cycle when you ovulate. perhaps a 1lb -3lbs then have a dip in weight a week before TOm then TOM comes and we gain weight again...after the *kitten* leaves we get our low body weight back again. what a rollercoaster of madness! thats enough to make one crazy lol.0

I've been tracking my weight everyday same time every morning and on same scale for the past two months. I noticed it climbs a few days prior to TOM and stays high. Then by the time TOM is over, it plummets. It has to be due to the water and the bloating they talk about!0

I know what you all mean about the weight gain during your cycle and right before and the plummeting after its over, but there are a few times I continued to lose weight through the cycle and that is when I didn't adhere to the cravings... I kept away from all the sweets and carbs and drank about 100 ounces of water a day and I actually lost 3-4pds...I was like wow...that is a trip. So I suppose it can be done, but recently I haven't had much success because I been going with the cravings and the 100 ounces of water just made me think of living in the bathroom.smh0

I have a fairly odd pattern of weight loss and maybe this explains it. It averages out at about 2lbs a week but is usually 0/-0.5 in mid-cycle week, -2/3 in 3rd week, 0/+1 at TOM (occasionally it'll go up by as much as 3lbs but that never sticks for more than 48hrs) and then -4/5 in 1st week following TOM. I also get slight discomfort around the middle of my cycle and some bloating, which I understand is called mittelschmerz!0

I've not really paid too much attention until this cycle as i'm no longer taking the pill. I'll let you know the results when the cycle is over, Having said that i was due to ovulate a few days ago and i was sooo hungry the day i think i did. I heard that our motabolism is faster between ovulation and totm? and then goes back to normal when totm arrives.0
