okay why is it so hard

I go all week and i lose weight but on the weekends when everyone is eating i dont seem to have the will power to pass on the things i should.... HELP anyone have a suggestion.. i went a whole week without a coke and low and behold i had one... normally i would just give up on the diet but i decided i just messed up..... and went on...

everyone messes up! don't be so hard on yourself. If it were super easy to do this then there would not be an obesity problem in the world today. YOU CAN DO THIS!! the two principles that work for me are 1) do not make anything "off-limits" - this will only make you want it more and in gigantic quantities when you give in. along with that 2) moderation - keep portions in check when you do have a treat. want something sweet? have a piece of chocolate but not the whole bar. it is really, really hard at first just to put something down at first, but it gets easier over time ( i have yet to reach this point :blushing: )

I am exacly the same way SingleMomMandi1976! I do really good all week, then the weekend is here and we usually go out to eat fri or sat night and i say to myself "oh, just get what you want, you'll make it up later"! I don't even look at the healthy stuff on the menu even! It makes me so mad and i immediately regret it the next day, but i for some reason can' t stop myself. :explode:
Even if we don't go out i'll have a few beers fri. and sat. nights or eat some potato chips (which i have now eaten, as of last weekend, all of them so i am NOT buying anymore!!!) But still, i know i'm not doing as good. I just wish i knew why i did this to myself and what's a good way to help quit this habit.:sad:
So sorry i'm no help, but maybe we can work thru it together?!?!

treat weekends like any other day of the week. It will be hard to do but once it becomes habit you will get it. The fat calories and sugar wont take a day off so you shouldnt either. It is hard for everyone, cause you think its ok I can do it just this once then one more time wont hurt next thing you know it undoes all your hard work. Hang in there it will work out!!!0

I always go over on the weekends. But the calorie goal on here is for me to lose weight. So I figure if I don't go over the normal amount of calories that my body uses in a day on the weekends I won't gain any weight. So I usually have about 2000 calories on saturday and sunday. Does that make sense?0
