Should I lower my weight loss to 0.5 per week?

I don't use the nutrition/fitness tracker here (too confusing); mine is set up on sparkspeople. It gave me a range of 1200-1550 calories per day. I'm usually on the higher end of my calorie intake, around 1500. Anyway, my weight loss goal is set up to lose 1 lb per week. I'm 5'1" and aiming for somewhere between 105-110 pounds (I'd be content with the latter). Would it be beneficial to lower my weight loss goal to 0.5 instead? I read that the closer you are to your goal the lower your calorie deficit should be.

if you are losing then for now I would stick with what you are doing if you are no longer losing then lowering it to half a pound may kick start your weight loss I yo yo calorie intake when I hit a slump but I'm no where near close to goal yet x0
