Irrational thoughts/fears?

How long does it take to FEEL like you're doing something? How much do you have to lose to FEEL like you've done some thing? For me, those answers would be 4 months, 41 pounds, and countless inches...lol! I longed to SEE something! To FEEL something! Some kind of loss! I saw it in the oddest of places! My hands, feet, neck, and shoulders, but NO WHERE that it COUNTED to me anyway! LOL!

Yesterday, I had my AH-HA moment. I FELT it and (thanks to comparison pictures) I SAW it! Sounds like a great thing & that I should be over the moon, right? Well, I'm not going to say that I'm not...I'm just not 100%. My fear, this may make me sound horrible, but I'm sure I can't be they only one who has had this thought, if I start dressing like I feel NOW I'll look awful.

Here's the horrible, hope I don't sound like a total ***** thought...what if because I feel pretty/sexy I wear say a skirt/shorts & a cute top and BAM!!! I'm the chick that everyone (I've thought it myself several times) says (in their heads),"Just because they make it in your size, doesn't mean you should wear it"? I mean, aside from some funky tan lines (thanks workout Capri's) I finally think my legs are pretty good looking...not my best, but hell they haven't been their best since I was 17 & danced in drill team for 5+ hours a day...but what if they really just look like sausage links sticking out from under the skirt/shorts? What if I bare my upper arms and look like I could fly away? What if I wear a fitted shirt and although my comparison pictures show a HUGE difference & the measuring tape shows massive inches lost, I still look pregnant...when I SO am NOT???

Am I alone in these fears? Or am I just a crazy ***** that needs to get over it all ready? LOL!

Nope you aren't alone in your fears, but thats what mirrors are for and you being truely honest with yourself. I want to wear shorts really bad. I can wear the ones that come to mid thigh but any higher ummmmm NO. My thighs aren't tight enough yet unfortunately.

And forget others opinions. People will always have something to say whether its out of honesty or malice. Sometimes its hard to tell the difference. If you have true friends and you value their opinions have them go shopping with you. This way you have more than just your eyes that can judge whether something looks appropriate or not.

    Enjoy the new you!!

You are not alone. I say to my family all the time I am "skinny" for me. If someone just met met, she would think I need to lose some weight! It's hard bc I am pleased that I've lost so much, but I am concerned about how I look in "regular" people's clothes!

You're not alone in these fears and you're not crazy. A lot of people have them. Me? Well, even at my size I have no problem wearing sleeveless tops and I know I've got seriously fat arms, but I decided that I didn't care what others thought. No, it's not the prettiest, but it's comfortable and cool and I see a heck of a lot worse on a daily basis. And when it comes down to it... why shouldn't I or you or anyone else dress comfortable and coolly.

Now, that's not to say that there are some things that 'people of size' shouldn't wear. Me wearing a mini skirt would be just plain laughable, or wearing a skin tight tube top, but I'm guessing you're not thinking about this over the top type outfit.

If you've seen people and thought 'just because they make it in your size...', you're going to make good choices in your outfits, so forget about what other people are thinking and wear what you want. You've only yourself to please.
