So im very depressed with my scale results. My weight isn't moving at all honestly. I lose an average of .56lbs a week! Im set to lose 1.5lbs. Ive lost nothing in may and gained 3lbs. Then lost the 3lbs and back to where I started. I've invested in a diet pill and have been taking them for the past week and a half and any weight lost has been from this pill. I started the oxyelite last monday and Ive lost all the posted weight in the last week and a half. Its sad all the hard work and effort I put into this and nothing to show but a gain! Not cool that I have to resort to the aid of a pill (that has stalled out on me currently) to help me lose weight. I dont know what else I can do!!!
I think eat right, exercise, and eat back most if not all my exercise cals(this is a new thing for me started this 5/30). I drink 11-13 glasses of water a day, take a multi-vitamin. I eat a very Low sodium, low fat, try and watch carbs, sugars are high but thats fresh fruit, snack correctly diet. I even started mesuring EVERYTHING so i dont under or over shoot my cals before this i wasnt too far off on eyeing things. I checked by pooring out what i would before then throwing it in the mesuring cup. Only thing I can see to cut it my ice cream/fruit bars but thats not fair its my only treat. Also, I cant eat perfect everyday but with whats available to me i try extreamly hard to make the right choices and portion correctly.
I have a great group of fitness pal friends who help and encourage me but any other advise or help would be great!

since you eat low fat and watch your carbs I must ask,are you getting enough protein? Usually when trying to be low in one or two of the other micronutrients it is important to eat a sufficiant level of the third.0

I'm pretty new here myself so I don't know all the tricks to really give you much advise, but I noticed you're from Waterford & wanted to say Hi! I used to live in Waterford - now I'm over by Keego Harbor, but we're neighbors!
What sort of exercise do you do? Are you noticing anything else - like your clothes fitting differently, or having more energy, or gaining muscle?0 -
Took a peek at your diary.
You seem to eat a lot of processed foods or fast food. Although your calories are in the right range, I am guessing you are eating a LOT of sodium. Try eating more homemade
Also, how are you measuring your foods? It is really easy to underestimate portions.0 -

ive lost 7" inches total in two months. my clothes umm..not really. I do kettlebell workouts, zumba, dancing, 30 day shred, swimming and other stuff, i keep it rotating because I dont like doing the same stuff. as for muscle a bit because Im sort and i stack muscle fast so im more tight then jiggles.0 -

Nope my sodium is less then 2000mg average 1500-1900 at the most. if you looked at this past weekend sunday was my cheat day so my sodium was WAY too much. Sodium is the one thing I DONT over eat. As for measuring i use measuing cups, teaspoons/tablespoons, and scale.0 -
It sounds like your doing everything right. Sometimes it takes time for the body to catch up to the mind. I'd say stick at it . I have friends on my list that became very discouraged when they didn't see results but they stuck to it and are now seeing the results they want.0

Well, 7" total in 2 months is a positive change.
Like I mentioned, I just started & I'm trying to keep my goals really low/manageable so I don't become discouraged. I figure I need to look at this from directions other than just the number on the scale. For me:
weight lost
inches lost
improved cardio
improved blood sugar (diabetes in family)
improved flexibility/strength
maintaining my chiropractic adjustment/reduced back pain
So, I have decided that if I have a week where I do not lose weight, then the difference is in one of those other areas. I'm still doing something good for me, for my body, for my health. Just because it is not showing up on the scale does not mean it is not showing up in one of those other areas.
I've been doing this for 3 weeks. I went to my chiropractor yesterday & he was completely baffled as everything he normally adjusts was fine. He said "I don't know what you're doing, but keep doing it!" I have been going to him for 13 years & this is the first time my appointment was so simple. So I know that something improved, even if it didn't show on the scale.
Hope that helps you to think about it in a different way.0 -
