A couple questions

I am trying to eat 6 small meals a day, but I am finding that it is hard for me to get that much food in. I feel like I am eating all the time and also when I am not hungry. SO should I still eat something small if I am not hungry?

Are you supposed to eat before or after your workout?

Thanks :)

In regards to your question about meals, listen to your body. If you're hungry all the time, eat more often. If you're never hungry, eat less often. There is different research supporting both eating small meals and not.

As for your second question, eat before and after you workout. Eat some form of simple carb and maybe a little protein about 30 minutes prior to working out (apple and a little bit of peanut butter), and then within an hour after working out (as soon as possible), eat a simple carb and lots of protein (recovery shakes, fruit and milk, chocolate milk, etc).

Depends on when I work out whether I eat before or after my workout. If I workout in the evening I eat after my workout trying to get in a lot of good protein for muscle repair, if I workout in the morning I eat a quick protein shake and cereal bar to build up my metabolism and energy and of course drink tons of water while I work out. Just depend on you. I have heard eating 6 meals a day helps. I have several friends who do just that and it works for them.

    Good luck!
  • Why eat if you're not hungry?

I eat after I exercise. I feel gross if I eat then exercise (if doing cardio).
