How low can you go, Porkchop?

I am trying to figure out how many calories I consumed in the 5 ounces of pork chop I just had for dinner. From what I've found online, it ranges from about 150 calories for 3 ounces to about 340 calories for 3 ounces.

Does anyone have any idea of a good estimate for 5 ounces of pork cut off the bone? I don't want to overestimate it, but I also don't want to underestimate it. Someone please help! Thanks!

I think it probably depends a lot on if the meat is fatty or lean. I'm having a boneless pork chop that is pretty lean tonight and in the database here it says that a 4 oz boneless pork chop from Kroger is 160 calories.

first, it depends on the cut, the difference between a center cut chop and a rib cut chop is about 25 calories. Center cut is the lower calorie choice.

    baked: 175 cals
    grilled or broiled: 165 cals
    pan fried: 205

Bone in center chop before cooking yields about 225 calories.

If it were me, I would round it to 200 and call it good

I cut all of the fat off the porkchop before I baked it. It didn't have any oil or anything on it...just some Mrs. Dash and chili powder...so it was a pretty lean piece of meat once it was cooked...

Wow that sounds so low compared to some of these other numbers I've seen! I've never had such trouble trying to get an estimated calorie count for something...usually the numbers are similar but this time they are all over the place!
