Looking for a Father's Day Present? I just finished reading an awesome book: "Younger Next Year: A Guide to Living Like 50 Until You're 80 and Beyond" by Chris Crowley & Henry S. Lodge, M.D. I recommend it highly for anyone over 50 or who's dad is over 50. Says you can improve the "Next Third of Your Life" and become functionally younger every year by exercising 6 days a week, quit eating crap, and connecting & committing. Wish I had known about this book 15 years ago but sure glad I've read it now. Great reinforcement for the lifestyle changes I've made since 2008 when my doctor told me that if I wanted to be around to play with my granddaughter in 10 years, I had to start doing something about my weight. If you love your father, and he's like I was (overweight, sedentary, and spending too much time in front of the tube), get him a copy of this book.
