I was reading about c25k last time, so I decided - let's try it. I exercise a few times per week, weights + cardio ( mostly intervals, various machines ). Never run more than 1 km nonstop, usually it was 1 min run / 1 min jog for i.e. 20 minutes. So .... decided to do this today.

And ..... I set speed to 10km/h and ..... absolutely no problem, did it ! Additionaly I set speed to 12km in the last 500m, so finished below 30 minutes. I am tempted to try 10k.

It's hard to believe, I hated running, and now I am faster than I was 18.

Just wanted to tell you all. If I did it, everyone can !

    Congratulations!

Just a word of warning, though.
It's a lot tougher off the treadmill.

I found it quite demoralizing when I switched from training on the treadmill to running on the road. I almost gave up on the idea entirely.

Glad that you had such a good run!

I actually hate the treadmill and LOVE running outside. I am a beginner runner, just started C25K myself. I about to start W3 and am really loving it. It depends on the person (treadmill vs outside running) I think. Whatever is easier for you. Congrats on your NSV!!!!!

I am in week 3. I am not a runner so this is a great challenge for me. It also is a good goal. Congratulations to you!

Yeah, I got over it. I'm only running outside now. Probably won't use the treadmill again unless there's really WET weather (which is a distinct possibility here in Oregon).

I'm gonna run outside as well, then will use GPS app to track the distance.
Today I did 5k again on treadmill, and after this jumped on elliptical for 20 minutes.
No problems again, according to HRM 1200kcal burnt. Nice .... and I feel great :)
