I see you're new. I would say try 1920 for a couple of weeks. If you see a loss, great! If not, cut a couple hundred off your total.0

1920 seems to be too much if your not planning much exercise ..I agree try it for 2 weeks and then lower by 100-200 if no weight loss0

I think the 2000 is if you stayed in bed all day. The 1920 allows for some level of activity and your deficit for losing whatever you set for your goal each week.0

I'd go back in and double check on that. Seems high to me. You can also set it to lose more pounds a week.0

Hmm,
I'm not sure what exactly I used when I set up my account. I have a goal to lose 1/2 pound per week. The system automatically figured what I burned daily and then recommended a deficit of 250 calories per day so my net daily calorie goal is set at 250 calories lower than my daily burn rate. If you were to follow the same formula, I would expect your daily calorie goal to be more like 1750. But if your goal is to maintain or to lose less than 1/2 pound per week then I'd expect that number to be higher. I've been using MFP for about a month now and I'm down about 2 pounds since then so I'm right at about 1/2 pound per week. I've usually been within 50 calories of my goal each day usually a bit under, sometimes a bit over. I'll add extra exercise if it looks like I'm going way over.0 -
Your BMR is not your TDEE. If your BMR is approximately 2000, then unless you're in a coma, your TDEE is likely at least 2400 (if you're completely sedentary, higher if you're at least somewhat active) and around 1900 is sufficient to lose 1 lb per week, even if you do no additional exercise.0
