hello fellow mfp friends. I seem to have hit a wall with my weight loss. The first 28 pounds came off really easy but now I seem to have stalled and its quite annoying.. I guess this happens to us all but I wish I could start loosing 2 pound every week .. I have 10 weeks before I go on my holiday and I'm still not where I want to be as you can tell by my profile picture.. Well that's my little moan over with.. I just thought I'd share that with you all .. Oh and if you want to, feel free to add me to your friends list as it's nice to see how you are all getting along with your progress. Good luck everyone and have a great day

I know how you feel! I was getting really frustrated AND hungry and hadn't lost anything in a while. All that time I was in a plateau, I was working out hard and doing a lot of aerobics. I was eating under 1,000 calories most days. Then last week, I just couldn't keep up the regimen any more. I skipped a day of working out and I increased my calories..... Guess what happened????

Jeneba is right you need to give your body a bit of a shake up or it will think it is going into starvation mode and keep back fat.

Well I'm eating 1400 cals a day but I guess the old body is fighting back but yea I might increase my allowance and see what happens
  • SAme thing here then someone told me about the zigzagging approach where you go a day and eat higher calories so I went out to eat twice and ordered healthy meals but was still higher calories than what I had been doing at home and had a 1600 calorie day then dropped back down to my 1100-1200 day and in 2 days I have lost a pound.... I am hoping I have shaken my body up and will continue to loose and maybe you should try it also!!!!

Other things you could think about (which you may of course already have done...!)
    1. Vary your foods more - do you tend to eat the same things all the time?
    2. Up your water intake
    3. Watch your carbs - too many carbs can be an issue for some people.

At the end of the day though, you are thinner than you were and it probably took you a heck of a lot longer to get to your former weight than it has taken you to get to your current weight...?!!!

Good luck with your continued quest! JSJ xxx
