when and how do you know if you re hungry or full. I eat even when I'm not hungry and I eat even when I'm hungry. I did research and it tells me that it's takes 20 minutes for the brain to tell you you re full. I can eat a village in 20 minutes. And I tried to eat slower but it doesn't work I start slow then I'm chewing like I never tasted food before. So when do you guys know when you are hungry or full

It takes will power, You have to make yourself stop. I think we all feel the same way. There is no miracle answer. IF there was no one would have a weight problem. I wish I could tell you something magical but It is all about will power.

I start with recommended serving size. I also drink a glass of water 15-30 minutes before a meal. If I'm still really really hungry I add a salad. That usually tides me over until the next scheduled feeding time :)

i just try to stick with a serving size of whatever i'm eating. I know that is how much you are 'suppose to eat' so thats what i eat. I eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack in between if my tummy starts to grumble. My snacks are like, a granola bar, peanut butter crackers, a fruit cup, something like that. If you eat things high in protein they will help fill you up also so chicken is a good meal food, or fish :) feel free to add me if you want some more support

I carefully measure one serving of whatever I'm eating (and I normally put it on a smaller plate to trick the brain into thinking I'm eating more). Then when I'm done with that ONE serving, I wait 20 minutes and drink water during that time. If AFTER 20 minutes I still feel like I want some more, I go back and get HALF a serving of ONE of the things on my plate. When that's done, I wait another 20 minutes, etc.

It works for me, and normally after that first 20 I don't want another serving. I also make sure to serve from the stove instead of the table. Its easier to sit around the table talking for 20 without reaching for seconds if the food is in another room!

For me, I weigh and measure just about everything I eat. "Normal" portions are getting easier to judge and are beginnning to keep me satisfed. Willpower does play an important part of it too. Am I ever hungry? Sure. I just ignore it and find something to do to distract myself.

I calculate everything on my plate and eat only what's on it.

I'm a bit of a pig when eating, I rarely chew properly and clear my plate every single time (just short of licking it clean!) The only thing that has worked for me is preparing and cooking the exact amount that I can fit in to my calorie allowance and then when it's gone, it's gone. I usually have to have scheduled meal times too and literally count down the hours and minutes until it's time to eat again. I really don't think I have a normal 'hungry' indicator as i'm always hungry, never feel full and usually feel hungrier as soon as i've eaten. I'm trying to 're-train' the way that i'm thinking when it comes to food, drinking water with my meal and chewing slowly etc. but so far, keeping my portions completely measured and having set times is the only thing that works for me!

I think the key is finding what works for you!
