Since I started my new wellness habits for life, I've really gotten into tea life never before. Oh sure, I would have the occasional Earl Grey or Black Currant cuppa, but now I'm drinking it as my morning drink. my evening treat drink, and during the day if the mood strikes.

PLUS, I "discovered" the flavored creamers that have flooded the market, and have been experimenting with them. Here are some of my favorite tea flavors along with some concoctions I've come up with.

I'd love to know what teas you've gotten in to...I think this is going to become a hobby for me!

==============================

(btw, I used fat free half and half in all my teas, and don't add sweetener to anything but the Awake tea)

Tazo Awake for my morning beverage
Egyptian Licorice (I LOVE this!!!)
Ginger
Tazo Chai
Peppermint (I add chocolate creamer to this for a choco-peppermint variation)
Sleepytime Vanilla for my evenings (I add Almond Joy creamer to this sometimes for a different taste treat)

I love Sleepytime with half and half and splenda.
  • I like the Bonzo Ginger Peach and Orange Blossom teas. I'm going to try some of your others!

I like plain teas with sugar. I get my everyday iced tea mix from Coffee Bean Direct (1/3 Darjeeling and 2/3 Ceylon), and hot teas from Specialteas. There are a few Ceylons which are extra special and make a nice cup, but for the most part I stick to Darjeelings and the occasional Yunnan. The smoky flavor of Keemun doesn't suit me much.

I stick to iced tea in the summer, and my iced tea of choice is Tazo Black Iced Tea, unsweetened (the same stuff Starbucks uses, except I make it at home by the gallon). In the winter I like Bigelow Earl Grey, and Taylors of Harrogate's Yorkshire and Yorkshire Gold tea. The Yorkshire Gold I make looseleaf in a teapot as a special treat when I have time to drink a pot of tea, otherwise it's the teabag in a thermal mug. I don't sweeten my tea or add any milk; I just drink it black.

That's right...I forgot...my inexpensive purchase at Starbucks (when I'm "renting" Wifi space to do my work) is unsweetened black tea. Really hits the spot!

Your list has brought back lots of memories of my many visits to the Tea Museum in London. I learned a lot about the correct way to steep loose leaf tea and was introduced to many good quality leaves in my visits there. Sigh...good times!

I believe that's on my Bucket List!
  • I found a chai green tea. I highly recommend it. Gives green tea a bit of a spice it good cold and hot. I add a touch of splenda. Has all the benefits of green tea with the great spice of chai tea without the caffeine so you can drink it anytime.

I have always been tea crazy! Sometimes I think it is just plain crazy the amount that I drink each day. I usually drink green tea with a splenda packet. I really like flavored green teas, mint and pomegranet are two of my favorite flavors. I say drink up! :drinker:

I'm a tea-drinker, never developed a taste for coffee. Here's my recipe for a fabulous creamy, hot, sweet, spicy beverage which I drink at work all day long!

I brew the tea in a small, 4-cup Mr. Coffee that has NEVER been used to make coffee! I prefer the Chai flavors, and my current favorites are the Yogi Classic Indian Spice, and Yogi Chai Green. I start with one of each teabag, then run the "Coffee" maker once. (no filter, just drop the tea bags into the basket where you would normally put the coffee).

Pour this hot steamy tea into my tall mug, and I top it off with a custom "mix" of Davinci's or Torani's Sugar Free Syrups - today's "mix" includes sugar free flavors of French Vanilla, Caramel, White Chocolate, and English Toffee. I actually have a "pump" in the bottle of my homemade "mix", I use 3-4 "pumps" for my tall mug.

I then add a generous splash of Silk Pure Almond Milk - unsweetened and unflavored. It adds the creamy milk texture and color, and a slight "Amaretto-ish" undertone.

The milk is 35 cals for a FULL CUP, so for this decadent, sweet, hot, creamy beverage, I'm getting less than 10 calories - probably closer to 5. Spicy chai flavors, plus the sweetners, plus the Almond Milk flavor - YUMMMMMMMMMILICIOUS!

I record a full cup of the Almond Milk every day, because I drink hot tea all day long and I get close to a cup by the end of the day. Best 35 calories I ever "spent"!!!

NOTE: TODAY I started the 17-Day Diet, so I'm going to limit myself to ONE mug of this fabulous mixed beverage daily. For the rest of the day I'm brewing the Yogi Green Chai ONLY and adding a teaspoon of Truvia to sweeten it. Still completely delicious, and there's your green tea!

I love tea! Black, Green, Herbal ... all kinds. I typically don't use sweetener (or milk) unless it's chai/spice.

A few faves: Green iced tea made with Lipton Superfruit (raspberry & red gogi) - no sweetener needed

Lipton Bavarian Wild Berry makes an excellent black iced tea.

Yogi Mayan Cocoa Spice with milk & splenda - a good afternoon pick me up

If you don't mind a slighty coffee undertone to your tea, you'll be fine. Personally I find coffee very distasteful!

Every once in a while at a restaurant I'll order hot tea and I'll taste coffee - to me that's just totally YUCK! I always send it back, there is no reason to use a coffee maker to heat water for tea, lol! UNLESS it's never been used for coffee, like mine!

Good luck with your cleaning - really hope it works for you! I just brewed another pot - left the 2 green tea bags in the basket, and added a black chai tea bag and ran another 4 cups of filtered water through it - yummmmmmmmmmm!
