Ok I LOVE LOVE this water its great , helps me NOT drink pop , helps me get 8 glasses of water in ( since I hate normal water) Anyways I was told its not "real" water and not to monitor it in as daily water ?? Right on it says zero calories . zero fat , etc and on the bottle says Mountain Spring WATER... so why wouldnt this count ??? ( for google gurus- Sparkling ICE is the brand name)

I agree with you really--I love sparkling water! Makes it feel so much more fun!0

idk maybe it's just me and because i can drink plain water, but I wouldn't count it as water. HOWEVER, if it is all you drink, dont drink any water, then go ahead, it's your weight lost and if it works for you then that's great.
On a side note, I love them too! I love the orange and black raspberry. I can't really drink the lemon lime and we have like six bottles of it still above our fridge. I have seen the bottles at winco, but they seem bigger, sometimes I have a hard enough time finishing a skinny bottle!0 -
Ok, I was waiting to see if anyone a little 'more in the know' was going to respond here ...
What I have read in other posts is that you don't count water that is:
-sparkling
-caffeinated
-has sodium (i guess some flavored waters do)
I don't know what the issue is with carbonation, but others here seem to say that it means you don't count it as water. Personally, if it's liquid, it's water to me. But I really struggle with water intake, and it's probably something I'm really going to have to work on at some point.0 -
ICE though has no sodium or sugar or anything except vitamins that is why I dont get why it "shouldnt" be water0
-
Me neither lol. The only thing I can think of is the artificial sugar and vitamins.
i have drank this before lol0 -
I've always been lead to believe that sparking water counts towards your water total. I can't see why not. The only side effects I can see is that the bubbles may make you bloat, but that isn't going to make any difference to the amount of fluids you get.0

I would count it. I was just relaying what I had read on here. Some people have said that the carbonation makes you bloat, which makes your stomach larger, which then leaves you more hungry later. Some people say that's total BS. Like just about anything else on here, do what works best for you.0

I drink plain sparkling water without any sweeteners or sodium the ingredients are "natural spring water, CO2" And i count mine. I feel that it makes me feel more full and I never get the feeling that later after the bubbles dissipate that I am more hungry. I think that is just bunk.
I say count it.0 -
It may have no sugar, but it does have artificial sweeteners (splenda) in it, which many people on these forums freak out about. It also has green tea extract which may contain a small amount of caffeine, which many people also freak out about.0

If the only ingredient in it is water with carbonation then I dont see how this cant be counted as water. Other people maybe saying to stay away from any perservatives that are added.0
