Honestly I didn't know they had a special tape to use. I've just been using the one that goes with my sewing kit. lol0

I just use one that I got in the crafts section at Wal Mart--like people use for measuring inseams and lengths of patterns, etc.0

I use a tape measure I got from the sewing and crafts section of the store. Works just fine.0

Cheapest is just go to the nearest craft section or store. Buy a soft measuring tape for sewing. It was designed to measure on a flex. They're usually under 2 bucks. They look like this. http://www.amazon.com/6-Piece-Value-Pack-Soft-Fabric-Measures/dp/B003UXQQQG/ref=sr_1_5?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1308444840&sr=1-50

Try a craft or sewing store, they have flexible tape measures made for taking body measurements (for sewing garments)0

any general merchandise store - wal-mart, walgreens, etc. even your grocery store may have one if they carry any notions (thread, needles, etc.0

Walmart should have it (since they have just about everything lol). You can also try a sports and fitness store. :happy:0

I just use a fabric tape...under 2.00 at most stores that carry crafts, yarn or fabric.0

Thanks everyone! I'll go to walmart tomorrow and pick one up! Can't wait to get my measurements up! Hope your weekend is going great!0

The tape measure that comes with a sewing kit is a body measuring tape. I've gotten my measuring tape at the Dollar Tree. I gotten my years ago and it didn't really come in a sewing kit. It came with smaller different type of measure tape.
Now, if you are referring to this type of body tape: http://www.oneinhundred.com/Wholesale-customized-printed/Body-tape-measure.htm
Try GNC or maybe Academy. I don't think Walmart carries this brand. I've gotten mine from Amazon with a caliber.0 -

Hmmm, I think I'll stick with the cloth tape. It's been working fine for seamstresses and tailors for over 100 years!0 -

FabOma08, stick to the tape measure that you are comfortable with.0
