I JUST got home from the dentist and, after some work, my tooth is very sensitive - especially to cold. (so say goodbye to the workout today; can't drink water, really, through it!)

Any suggestions for foods that are really, really easy on my teeth?

If they are, say, delivery.. all the better. My food stock is low.

    soft veggies or pasta
  • room temperature water might have to do... doesn't taste that great, but at least it won't hurt. and a tylenol...

    soups, soft noodles, smoothies...

Can anyone get you a toothache kit from the store? It has clove oil in it and that will deaden the nerve in the tooth. Works wonders according to my patients who have horrible teeth pain.
  • That's my world on a daily basis, I tend to do most of my foods warm, if the sensitivity continues (as with mine) as your dentist to prescribe you a toothpaste. I have a prescription for PreviDent 5000 Sensitive. For some reason once I go off the toothpaste after a couple of months the sensitivity returns .. Hope yours gets better :) (Sweet potatoes, whole grain pasta, fish) are great soft foods.

I think it's just "fresh from work" pain, nothing too lasting!
