I'm most definitely not active, as I spend most of my day at my computer or the tv or my desk, drawing.. But my daily activity is set to Lightly Active mostly because I just can't imagine eating only 1200 calories per day for the Sedentary level. Should I just tough out the low calorie intake and try to change my daily activity level to Sedentary? I find it difficult to stay within the Lightly Active amount.. I love food.... But I'm also trying to lose weight. AHHH. Dilemma lol. If it helps, my goal weight is set as 115, and I'm set on losing one pound per week. Thanks for any help, tips, or advice. I love youu alllll

Just get up and move it....and keep moving until evening. That is when I can sit and watch tv. You will be able to eat more then also : )0

Eat as much protein and fiber as possible and stay away from processed, sugar-laden foods and I bet you'll come closer to 1200 than you think and that you'll be happy with your weight loss.0

lol. we had this discussion ^_^ lol. i would probably just put it to sedentary level. that way IF you end up going somewhere, or spend alot of time walking or standing you can add that into your exercise (not make the same mistake i did lol) because i honestly am on my feet probably a good 6 hours on the days i work so i have it on the lighly active cuz it says i stay on feet most of day.
orrrrr you can move it move it move it like christine says0 -
just set it to sedetary and then exercise and record it?0

Yeah, these settings are confusing to me. I qualify as sedentary with a desk job. Between work, commute time and kids activities, I have little time to fit in exercise, but I do make an effort to exercise daily (min15 minutes/day during the week and min. 1 hour sat, 1 hour sun). I could not imagine eating only 1200 calories a day. When I decided to start trying to lose weight, I guessed I was eating around 2100-2200 calories a day. I reduced to 1800 calories a day to try to lose a pound a week. So far it's working though I lost nothing last week. Maybe I need to change it up now. Especially when I am only just under the weight range I've maintained for many years.
One thing I am not currently doing is tracking activity with MFP. I did notice when you track activity, it adds available calories, so maybe if you did this you have more realistic available calories?
