Sugar Cravings at night!!!

Can someone please tell me if having a sweet cereal at night is bad!! Every night, after I have dinner, I feel for something sweet. Since I hardly ever eat candy or chocolates or anything of the sort, I try to keep it to some dry cereal (like Special K strawberry)... Is this ok or not?? Could there be a reason why my body is craving sweet in the night??

I'm the same way. I always have had sweet cravings in the evenings but never in the mornings or afternoons. I've been eating a few medjool dates lately which help conquer the sweet cravings and have potassium.0

As long as you're under your total calories, go ahead and have something sweet at night. Most of us need it, and if you deny yourself you'll binge later. Just control portions and calories. My "sweet fix" is a Drumsticks Ice Cream Lil' Drums...only like 140 calories and gives me what i want.0

I always have a "sweet treat" after dinner. Before it was ice cream or candy, now I'm having fresh fruit (which is great in the summer), frozen yogurt, or a smoothie. Cereal like the Special K Chocolatey Delight is also good. I don't think there's anything "wrong" with your body, it's just what you've gotten used to. As long as you're still under/at calorie level at the end of the day, it shouldn't hinder your weight loss.0

I'm sure it's ok as long as you have a small portion. You can also try frozen strawberries or one of those 50 calorie fruit popcicles.0

I am the same way. I just make sure I have calories set aside for my sweet treat and keep the portions reasonable.0

you could try skinny cow ice cream sandwiches or when I want a candy bar I eat a Quaker Dipps Chocolate Chip bar. I find either one of these satisfying0

I've just begun eating Weetabix minis (fruit and nut) as snacks. Only 8 calories per piece, just enough sweet to satisy, and lots of fibre. I have some in my office desk and take out 5 (40 calories) as a quick snack -- sometimes twice a day with a coffee or tea. It chases away early hunger pangs.0
