Hey everyone,

So I am looking to read a book about nutrition but I don't want one that has a specific diet plan. I'm looking for one more about why our body stores fat and how to get rid of it. Also to learn more about weight loss itself and not some book about a quick fix weight loss.

Anyone read something like this?

Thankss

  • I would recommend Robert Ferguson's "Diet Free Lifestyle". It was written in plain English, but was very informative to me. It has a plan included with it, but alot of other stuff too. I have followed his plan and found it to be the easiest thing I have ever done. But even just his insight into the human body was worth the 19.95. He talks alot about "fat burning mode" and things of that nature, and how to get there.

I got a lot out of "The SuperFoodsRx Diet" It contains a diet plan and great recipes, but the bulk of the book is about nutrition, what our bodies need to function, and the interplay of necessary nutrients. Yes, that has a bit to do with gaining, holding and losing weight. You can check out articles with similar information on the web www.superfoodsrx.com . That will give you a preview without shelling out for the book upfront.

I have loved the information here. Not only have I lost weight, my skin has improved, my nails are stronger, hair is healthier.....good stuff.
