i have had lots of victories over the past few weeks, which has lead me to reflect.

I wanted to share my story in hopes that someone somewhere has a similar one. Lets start with the before.

I have always been athletic playing sports in high school and college. Thanks to nice irish blood I am very broad shouldered and stout. I have 5 11.

So here is before i started having weight issues, well at least to the extreme i have them now. This is in 2005

In 2006 we welcomed our first child, 8 months later i was pregnant with my daughter who was born in 2008,
this was taken when my daughter was about 9 months old

then 1 year later I got a surprise that we were having our 3rrd child. The pregnancy was complicated with the birth being even more, My youngest was born at 34 weeks and spent time in the NICU compounded by multiple medical problems and marriage problems. so I chose to eat to help with stress
This was taking in 2010 during a camping trip. you can notice i have only started taking face shots at this point because i was so disgusted with my appearance

In January i started making some small lifestyle changes, and a few months ago I really started to get serious. Though I am nowhere near happy with where I am at , i am getting fit. I run 3-4 miles everyday and tone 2-3 days a week. i have started really changing my diet. because I am addicted to food and it is hard to stop eating.
this is where I have gotten to so far these pictures were taken a few weeks ago

Thanks for letting me share, if anyone has a similar situation feel free to friend me.

The food addiction is the worst part, I take things one day at a time and I do allow myself to splurge 1 day a week, that is hard not to splurge everyday!

Wow, you look like you have lost alot of weight in the face and you don't appear to have love handles!
Well done for deciding to motivate yourself. There is no reason that you can't get to the weight you want to be at. You just have to stay motivated! Keep busy during the day to stop yourself wanting to eat. I used to get so bored I just ate, but now I bake alot of cakes for my family to eat. Or I draw or do yoga, its calming and tones you up.

    Good luck!

Looks like you are making great progress!!! One great way I have found to stay motivated is to join challenges on MFP. A fantastic one I am doing is the Battle of the Bulge challenge. It's highly motivational and fun! The people I have friended on there are super enthusiastic. It started 5 weeks ago but you can join it anytime. Or, look for a challenge based on an interest of yours - my friend is doing a Harry Potter challenge, which runs til the movie comes out. Another one is the Twilight challenge, also running til the movie comes out. I find starting my day by logging in to MFP is very motivational for me! Good luck!
