Hi Ladies... I have been on the purple team for about 5 weeks or so and last week I worked out 16 hrs in 6 days. I only took 2 days off in the month of september but my results have been the same. A total of 9 lbs lost and 4 since I have been a mfp member. My question is what are some tips to increase my metabolism and jump start my weight loss??? I am ready to get moving again on losing some of these pounds. Currently I usually walk 6 miles 4-6 days a week.
Take care.

*sighs* I know what you mean. The whole month, I only lost 2.5lbs. I'm really trying not to let it get to me, but it's starting to. The only thing I know to do is to keep going. I've changed up my routine a bit and hopefully that will get me out of this rut. I've been good with my food, for the most part. But there's been a lot of stress in my life this month and I'm guessing that has something to do with my bump in the road. Hang in there with me!0

I feel for you both.
Lets take a look at what your day to day is..
Sometimes it may help to switch things up a bit.
Are you eating to much sodium.

Do you only have access to walk. Some times interval work is good. Try walking for a mile then your next mile kick up the pace some. Go back to walking another mile. Then repeat that and see if it helps. Just a little kick in the pants may help. Sometimes you body get used to it and your body adjusts. Maybe do jumping jacks or imagination jump rope for a minute between miles. or lunges and squats between the next mile.
If you have any access to a bike that is good too.
Anything cardio is great.

I hope that your change in workouts helps.
I change mine every week. I do something new or change different days.
Stress is a big problem too. Hope you find the right combination to lose.
I do videos at home because I don't live near enough to a gym, plus I have issues with people watching makes me nervous.
I do walk/jog on treadmill, tae bo, Hip hop abs, Palates, turbo jam and my new one is Jillian Michael's Shred. I try to do at least one strength of HHA or Turbo jam a week. Now Shred is a great all around one for me. I am on day 2 and Boy I am soar.

Thanks for the tips ladies. I love this site because you can talk to others who are going through the same thing or have already been there. My computer was down this week so I am sorry for the late reply. I will definitely NOT GIVE UP and I will try to intergrate changes in my workout.
