Zig zagging calories

Hello All! Was wondering if someone could help me out... I have heard great things about zig zagging calories and want to know how to do it.

How do you know when to eat more calories or less?? Also, how many more do you eat on those days?? I am currently eating around 1200 calories plus some, most, all , or none of the calories i gained from working out depending on my hunger level.

Any help would be appreciate!! I have been stuck at the same weight for a little while and want to see the scale more again!!
